Answer: see two posts above.
Shorter Answer: - There is a shutter release override setting.
- It is called 'Focus Priority'. Look again in above post to locate it in the G3 menu.
- If 'Focus Priority' is set, shutter will only be released when focus is aquired. Probalby due to darkness, AF could not aquire focus on the moon
- 'Focus Priority' is probably not active with MF lenses or in manual focus mode. Manual mode of PASM does not affect MF/AF choice.
