GH2 Motion Sensor Trigger?

I think I have a bobcat running around here at night and I want to see if I can get a picture of him. I don't really want to spend money on a trail cam, and I see there is a cool hack to add IR motion sensor shooting for point and shoot Canon cameras. I have only the GH2 now and am wondering if it's possible to setup an IR motion sensor and trigger to see if I can get a picture of the bobcat.
