If I were just starting now and needed a walk-around lens, the 35-100 2.8, while really pricey, would be a great, great lens to get. I had the Canon 70-200 2.8 and loved it, except for the weight and bulk.

Surely the field of view of the 14-140 is fantastic and appealing, though I've never owned or used such a wide range zoom lens. I still own a first gen. 70-200L f/2.8 Canon, but I hate hauling it around. In fact a motorcycle assignment I took the 70-200 on a couple months ago really made the size and weight stand out. Just the Canon 5D2 and 24-70L f/2.8 is plenty large and heavy on a motorcycle. This moto trip probably unconsciously started me down this m4/3 path. I've started to use my 70-200 Canon a bit more recently, seeing what it can do for me and the images I can make with it, but I just don't like lugging it around, or even pulling it out to put on a body. I'm hoping that I might get much more use out of the Panasonic 35-100 just because it's not so large and heavy.
If it wasn't for this crazy offer/rebate to have the 45-150 for $100 above the kit price from B&H I would simply buy the G5 body and not entertain a tele lens other than the 35-100; but for only $100 extra? Even though it's slow, I can foresee times when shooting outside in good light that the added tele on the long end might be helpful. Of course I could also make an argument for waiting and just buying the 100-300 later if I needed a really long m4/3 lens.
Anyone want to help push me over the edge on the G5 kit and 45-100 by offering to buy the G5's kit lens for $70 plus shipping?
