CZ's 15 2.8 for DSLR costs over 3k, if CV made a 7 or 8 for m43 it would probably cost 2k? When m43 matures a bit more (E-M6 might tip that scale) companies might invest in higher end, higher cost lenses. I think Panasonic's new 2.8 zooms are a glimpse toward that future.

I for one would be 2k poorer the second a UWA prime from CZ comes out. I have both the 25 and 17.5 CVs and they are amazing.

7mm on m4/3 is reaaallly wide, and Zeiss lenses tend to be marked up quite a bit compared to Voigtlanders as well. I wouldn't be too surprised to see a CV 10/1.4 for $1500, though my guess is that they'll do a telephoto next, probably a 45 or a 62.5.

The shop I got the 17.5 from says the prices are about to jump up quite a lot on it and the 25. They get theirs from Hong Kong, which according to them has the best prices for CV in Asia (Japan, oddly enough has the highest prices).

CV makes a couple of pancakes for 35mm format which are actually at a great price. CV could retool the back end of the 20mm for m43 and they would sell well. They also have a 50, 58 and 75. All of them would result in good m43 options if CV is interested in modding the mounts.

I might pick up the 20 and just use an adapter.

That is what this lens is - a fast native wide angle. And a classic perspective too - 35mm equivalent.
