If I'm to believe the UPS tracking information on my above pre-order, the little monster is in the UPS facility in Vernon, CA and should be in my hands in San Diego sometime tomorrow. I ordered from B&H it on February 26th & cancelled my earlier Amazon pre-order (I didn't have a good feeling about the Amazon pre-order). I even modified the B&H order twice to add the rebate flash and the on sale 40-150mm lens.

I went to my local store and so far they received 2 black OMD with 12-50 kits. Both of them were pre orders. The store did not have ETA for the rest of the orders nor they have demo unit in the store.

Just curious, which model did you order?

Regarding the article, it isn't just polite to link back to the source, it could be considered copyright infringement - if you post other people's articles, photos, etc, always make sure to link to the original reference (and in the case of photos it is also polite to ask the owner for permission!).

The article itself to me read like an odd way to announce the camera had received a firmware update - which I don't think has anything at all to do with the company's financial state; I highly doubt the engineers coordinated with the board of directors to fix image stabilization problems (though I'm sure there is a metaphor in there somewhere!).

This thread has just devolved into a who got which camera kit where, where they pre-ordered and now cancelled because I just caved when I found it locally and I heard my local shop has 2 but they're spoken for rumors...in that sense (not unlike this post!) it isn't really mattering what is posted at this point, this thread is just chaos anyway! :)

I check the EM-5 pre-order status everyday, from what I see the there now starting to ship out to the stores in small quantities. However we are expecting a large order this week hopefully that should fill all the pre-orders! and yes this news comes direct from our purchasing agent at Henrys.

Please note: Some people call the stores and give us a hard time with the thought in mind we are holding back info on expected delivery dates! I can assure you this is not the case, our purchaser is working hard to get them into our warehouse and to our customers as fast as possible.

I have one on pre-order so I know how you all feel and yes I'm losing sleep over it
