I pre-ordered a silver body only on March 6th. Still nothing. I recently asked if I changed colors or agreed to take one of the kit lenses whether this would speed up things a bit. B&H said someone would get back to me in a day or two. Sigh.........

Yes, I ordered April 30th for a Silver body only at B&H. Got the same lack of customer service, get back to you (never did), no idea when and or what shipments they expected. Finally cancelled 2 weeks ago and ordered from Camera Land. Originally made same order to Camera Land, then after a few days said I would take either body only or a kit only with the 12 x 50 and in now sits before me. Came yesterday. Now I'm a happy camper. Good luck with B&H.

Just received this e-mail from B&H concerning my March 6th pre-order of a silver E-M5 body:

Regarding your request if we have any estimated time arrival for any of the OLYMPUS E-M5 SLR DIGI CAMERAS. Please be advised that we are sorry to inform you that all colors are on back order by the manufacturer with no estimated time of delivery. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Heavy Sigh. I've been thinking of canceling and getting something else (have a B&H store credit, so going elsewhere for an E-M5 really isn't an option). Either a GX1 or NEX 5n. Just don't know.

I feel for you guys who have pre-ordered and still have not received their cameras. I placed my amazon order on last week, and I got my silver kit yesterday. I would be patient though. The camera is awesome.

Adorama has the silver with 12-50 in stock right now.

Too late for me. I ordered mine from Precision Camera about two weeks ago. Just got a shipping notice today. Painful to skip the opportunity to order from Amazon, and overall it worked out.

I received my Silver OM-D with 12-50mm from Dodd camera today When I opened the box I noticed that the lcd plastic cover was removed, the blue plastic wrapping of the lens was missing, also the Olympus label attached to camera was missing. When I turned the camera on I noticed that it was already set up and instead of prompting for set up it went straight to shooting screen.
This camera is obviously a customer return. Should I keep it or return it??????????

^^ I would check the shutter count and then decide if its significant enough to feel cheated by them.

Could it be a store demo, rather than a return?

I'd call Dodd and discuss it. If I pay for new, I like to get new.

Just my opinion.
