50 people ahead?! Last I heard, they filled all of their pre-orders last Friday. Maybe that was just the 12-50 kits?

That's what he said when I asked about the silver w/ 12-50. Oh well, I'll just stick w/ Adorama.

Default Camaraland Delivered

I received an OM-D E-M5 12-50 kit (black) today. Ordered it last Tue AM over the phone via Joel of CameralandNY. He seems to have a pretty good handle on inventory arrival and ability to fulfill. Kudos.

Unfortunately he didn't have the rebate-ready FL-300R flash in stock, but expected arrival within a couple weeks, so I went ahead & ordered that also. He seems to be pretty sure the rebate will be extended again by Olympus if necessary.

As long as CL is relatively accurate with the arrival projections & quick to refund if an order is canceled, I don't mind the upfront CC charge - if it helps them deliver.

Guerillah,

Turns out you got the last one; I spoke with Desiree at UniquePhoto after I got no confirming ship email on Monday (via email) and at first my unit was supposed to be shipped EOD on Monday. When no notification was sent by 11 a.m. on Tuesday I contacted Desiree, who rechecked with the warehouse and they are completely empty. Apparently there was a mix up in the count on available units.

Desiree was very prompt on responses, and very apologetic on the mix up. However Amazon is showing the black 12-50 in stock (extra 1-2 days for processing) so I ordered from them and cancelled the Unique order.

Nothing against Unique Photo - sometimes mix ups happen in the warehouse.

Amazon says the unit should arrive here on June 25, along with the flash unit.

Last time I had trouble of this sort was trying to take delivery on a 2003 Mercury Marauder. Finally took one off of the showroom floor. I hope I don't end up driving to New Jersey to get an OMD.

Jim

Cancelled my JR order this morning, OM-D (silver 12-50 kit) was sitting on my doorstep from amazon (not insured?! really?!!). Kit lens is pretty impressive and so far I'm drooling over the available controls. Glad I purchased the grip also, and happy the quest is finally over! Bought an fl-300r from willoughby's to get the rebate as well, should be here next monday.

I receive my black 12-50 kit yesterday from Amazon. It looks like my order eventually was fulfilled in the 6/18 lot and it was shipped overnight. FL-300R flash ordered through third party seller through amazon should arrive today.

Has anybody received and order from Adorama and if so how long was the wait? I have a 12-50 kit (black), grip and spare battery pending, just wondering if they are coming through at all.

I don't know if I'm lucky or what. Walked into a Saneal Camera in Calgary, AB expecting to wait for a while for a silver kit but I'll get mine this Friday.

To the other Albertans on this forum, Saneal is fairly quick fulfilling orders.

I also picked up a Panasonic 14mm for cheap on eBay (like C$175 cheap). Going to slowly save for that Panasonic-Leica 25mm now.

I talked to Sy at Adorama Monday. He said they're starting to trickle in. I asked if there were many in line ahead of me, and he intimated that the number wasn't too high, whatever that means.
