Default Painted churches of Central Texas

These churches were built around the turn of the 19th/20th century by central European immigrants. They couldn't build the massive cathedrals of their homelands, but they built beautiful reminders of them here. Each features detailed paintings of the ceilings and other structure. All were shot with the OM-D and the 12-50 kit lens as that's the widest I have. Worked out well as far as I'm concerned.

This last church had a locked iron gate inside so I couldn't go past the door. Made it hard to get a good shot of the ceiling.

Thanked by Glenn S, Luckypenguin, pake and 7 others.
