Olympus E-M5 - V2 Released

Profiles have been completely re-written based on user feedback.

To update please download the V2 profiles from the download link provided here: Huelight (@Huelight) on Twitter

I look forward to your feedback.

I can't seem to find the download page, on twitter it says "Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!"

Any help? I'm trying to download the profile for EPL3.

Thanks in advance.

Guys, I've seen this before. Colin is a nice guy and his camera profiles are really helpful, but every once in a while he gets bored or something. Then he completely disappears, stops visiting forums, stops responding to emails and removes all download links. This happened several times on DPReview where he was known as OlyColy, FujiColy etc.

I guess he might realize once in a while that his presets are as useful as randomly pulling a few sliders in LR.

Well, this is certainly not true. See discussion here: Huelight Panasonic ACR & Lightroom Profiles Available

I also have my own homemade profile for the GH2 built with Adobe DNG Profile editor, and Colin's profile (esp. v1.2) is slightly better and more pleasing.

I wouldn't say that; the G3 profile is excellent. I don't have the tools (ie: a Macbeth color checker) to tell you exactly what it does, but the result is excellent. The default ACR profile feels cold, and is difficult to warm up without adding a color cast. The Huelight profile provides a nice warm image without adding an orange/yellow color cast.

Hehe, yeah the Adobe default is far off but so are his profiles for the OM-D and the GH2, they are just different. Sometimes they make it better, sometimes worse, it's a 50/50 chance. He claims his profiles come closer the OOC JPEGs but that's not true from my experience.

if that's the case, it is a shame. he works hard and offers a very valuable service.
i do think he is perhaps too open to feedback, at least to retain sanity. the fact is, everyone sees color differently and his profiles are never going to please everyone. especially with the audience he is reaching (both on here and dpreview forums).
i would suggest taking feedback up through the beta stage, but then releasing a final profile and moving on to the next camera. (since he is very diligent about profiling most of the cameras.) otherwise, he is going to wear himself out with constant revisions.
at any rate, thanks, Colin, for all the work you have put in so far!! we hope to see you back.
