the second finger rests on the top of the grip and can operate the dial, leaving the forefinger free for the shutter and function keys.
The battery door is un-obstructed, as are the card and strap hanger.
the base is grooved to fit a tripod clamp (arca/RRS style) and also has an on-lens-center 1/4-20 tripod socket.
made from solid anodized aluminum, weight 3 oz (80 grams)

Even though I have the Oly grip...I am thinking of getting one of these too...Like the ability to change batteries...

I should get one of these. I like the fact that you can change batteries. Is this more comfortable than the Oly grip? If anyone bought one, please do a review.

I would love one with a WOODEN handle ;-).

But look great and very nice to be able to change battery and the tripod socket is at the correct place to.

i did have an inquiry about a user removing the grip portion and making his own custom carving...there are two countersunk clearance holes in the base, so you could screw on an avocado seed if you wanted ;)
