Wow! More great shots! How long of an exposure did you use? You are suppose to blur the license plate, although I am not 100% sure why. Is that ABQ in the background?

The only reasonable argument for blurring license plates that I'm aware of is when the vehicle is being raced. In this case, some owners fear that images of their car on the track might cause their warranty to be voided by the manufacturer or their insurance policy dropped by their insurer. Otherwise, what can someone do with a license plate number from a picture that they can't do with a license plate number that they see on the road or in a parking lot?

We always ask our subjects, or the owners, if they want the plate to be removed or not.

I use to do this all the time on my cars, but it is as you say, all the locals see my car at the shows anyways, or when we are shooting, anybody could get my plate numbers without much effort.

On detailing forums, we always blur the license plates. "Protecting the Customer".

I post from time to time on the Adams polish forums, in fact, some images of my Camaro are used on their website and their catalogs.

I think that the sentiment is good, I guess what I don't see is just what you are protecting the customer from.

May I ask you what setting you do to your camera? I've tried something similar on my PM1 but the results are baaaad.
I already posted one pic, there are so many white spots on my images.

OdBm,

Cheers for the tip, but after all, we all have our cars out there all the time, "exposing" the number plate.
Everyone can see it, can record it, etc. When you put the car on for sale, isn't it the same?
They know your mobile phone and the reggo, and?

I know where are you coming from, but still, can we live all the time embracing the fear?

Thanks
