Default Voigtlander 58mm f/1.4 SL Series II Nokton on m4/3?

Hi,

I was just browsing and thought that would be an interesting length for the way I shoot. I came across threads that spoke to its quality on Nikons, but I have not seen much about it on m4/3. Does anybody use this lens? What are your impressions?

Thanks,

Stefan

I have this lens, it is impressive.
Great in low light and beautifully detailed at f5.6.

It suffers from purple fringes at full aperture and some softness but generally this is not a big deal.

It is well built, solid and super smooth.

Have found it useful in many situations where a tight crop is required for street photography combined with short DOF. Useful in busy Asian cities.

Fine with focus assist on the GF1. Easy to produce razor sharp images. Impressive with B+W too. Quite a few examples on my smugmug gallery.

Thanked by Amin Sabet, apicius9 and walt_tbay.

Also..

Cosina didn't design this lens they copied it. It's a 1960's Japanese Topcon Topcor remake. Apparently they developed it for fashion photography.
