Default Panny triumph again with lenses... (42.5 F1.2 and 150mm F2.8)

17mm 1.8... pah. How about a 42.5 F1.2 and 150mm F2.8?

Panasonic promises 42.5mm F1.2 and 150mm F2.8 lenses for 2013/2014: Digital Photography Review

Now you've done it! My desk is covered in drool!

Edit: slated for release in "2013-2014"

Still, lovely concept lenses.

Panny are definitely coming up with the goods on lenses. Their latest offerings (although they may not be out for 18-24 months) are turning into a format that enthusiasts can get well and truly excited about.

Woah. That 45/1.2 looks interesting to me, for sure. I wonder if it is a Leica design?

I imagine they would have mentioned if Leica was involved...but who knows!

The 150 is more of interest to me than the 42.5, only because I know that length isn't of much use to me...but portrait shooters rejoice!

maybe... Would be nice but the extra aspherical element in the leitz design going to be pricey. It'll probably be a more standard large aperture design to keep the cost down.

Damn... I'd kill for both.

I thought Voigtlander would be the first with the ultra-fast 42.5!

Cool stuff... I don't think I have a need for either lens at present, but I do hope the 150mm f/2.8 + 35-100mm f/2.8 zoom means a teleconverter will also appear for m4/3 soon. That would seem more logical with longer, fast lenses. I could potentially even see replacing the 100-300 with the 150mm and a 2x teleconverter if the quality is reasonable, since the 100-300 is almost always racked out to 300mm when I use it
