Whoops, I hope we're not straying into politics here I'd hate to have to reprimand myself

Goodnight

No, no...at least I didn't think so, or I'll have to reprimand myself! As Benjamin Franklin "In this world nothing can be said to be certain but death and taxes."

Now back to this great lens.

Thanks, Brian. I left the Pana stuff at home and chose the Oly primarily so I would get a better sense of how the Oly kit performed (as a reviewer). There is a nice difference in both size and weight though!

Aha, I wondered about that E-PL1! I'll be looking forward to your hands on review.

Happy birthday Lily the 14-150 works really well with the Ep-L1, especially with the EVF. I took my family to London yesterday to see War Horse on the West End theatre, and took the 20mm f1.7, mZD 9-18 and mZD 14-150... actually I was moving too fast to do much, so the 20mm was all I used but the kit is small enough not to notice...

Cheers

Brian

Well, does this lens focus faster than the 14-42? I know I asked in the other forums, but I'd thought I'd ask here too. Pictures looks great to me.

Need some advice. I've just bought into M43 with an Oly E-P3 + 14-42 kit lens. I've added a 12mm f2. I now want something at the telephoto end to complete my travel set-up. Would you recommend the 14-150mm or the 40-150mm. Is there any "real-world" differnce in optical or AF performance between these lenses.

I would recommend getting the 14-150mm over the 40-150mm, so that you can drop the 14-42mm kit lens all together when you travel. The focus on the 14-150mm is fast, although not as fast as the kit lens on the E-P3, but IMO it is sufficiently fast enough.

I have never used the 40-150mm, but based on lab test reports, I believe the 14-150mm is at least as good as the 40-150mm, if not better.
