Default Olympus 14-42 lens lock

Hi All,

New to the forum; just picked up an Olympus E-P2 and have a question on the lens lock for the 14-42 kit lens. I can extend the lens without hitting the unlock button. Is that normal? The lock is just to keep it locked extended, or should it also keep it locked in the closed position?

thanks for any replies. I'm looking forward to playing with my new toy
