Default My E-PL1 and the Olympus 45mm f/1.8

I haven't used this lens much, so at this point I am uncertian how it fits with my kind of car shots, anyways, shot some of my car today, just getting a feel for this lens, it's sharpness and colors...I have a learning curve to go through with it.....

This one was shot with the 14mm panasonic f/2.5

I find the 45mm to long for car pics, its fine when none is around though... the best for me is the 20mm or 25mm. 45mm is great for detail shots.

Nice pics btw, and nice camaro... is that stock ride height, looks lowered... enjoy!

Yeah, the 45mm is long.

My Camaro is dropped 1 inch in the front, and the rear is stock, giving her that classic old school rake look...

further testing of the 45mm in pitch darkness. The cars are sharp but the 45mm blurred the background and I wasn't able to pick up stars in the sky.

it is indeed too long...

now the 20mm got some great star coverage last night.

the panny 20mm has firmly established itself as my goto lens for night shots in pitch darkness... as it allows me to stay between 200 - 320 iso...

in the darkness, the 20mm out performs the panny 14mm, which is a favorite
of mine..... I need to score the 25mm f/1.4, and test it out.
Thanked by EP1-GF1 and drizek.

thank you sir, it is a blast to shoot with..... I purchased a 2nd E-PL1 for $129 from Cameta Camera, just so I can always have the 45mm on it ready to shoot.

Good stuff (as always). I agree that your results with the 45mm at night are disappointing, but the 20mm shots are consistently amazing. The shot of the yellow/orange IS (I think) is sweet. The location in the daytime shots is great...love the tunnel!

I keep looking for constellations in the stars, but since my astrological knowledge is pretty much limited to the Big and Small Dippers and Orion's belt, I'm not having much luck. Do you consider the starscape when you're framing your shots?
