So it means with the adapter? How does it focus, manually?

Yes, it definitely would. Wouldn't surprise me to see some kind of lens like that sometime in the future. Assuming rumors of a faster 12-60 become reality I could certainly see a longer companion telephoto. I'm pretty impressed with the 40-150. Very small (when not zoomed in), light, inexpensive, and seems remarkably good optically for the money. Optically I find my copy better than my 12-50.

I have been very surprised by my Oly 40-150. I was taking sunset photos with it the other night, and in quickly previewing the images, I had very little to complain. It reminds me a bit of my Nikkor 70-300VR, especially as that lens compares to my 70-200VRII. The latter is quite a piece of glass, delivering some amazing shots, especially when used for shooting sports. However, the former, like the 40-150, delivers quite nicely when stopped down a few stops. It's not a fast lens, and it does have a plastic mount, but optically, it is quite nice. And with a Marumi close-up filter attached, its a great lightweight "macro". As much as I did not think much of this lens as I acquired a variety of primes, it has probably delivered most of my shots these past few months. Would I consider a 35-100 f/2.8? You bet I would. But mostly for speed and build quality.

I'm starting to think that up to 140, the Pany 14-140 may offer about the best IQ of native tele m4/3 zooms at present. I've been really impressed with the performance of the 14-140, considering it's not a super premium lens. Of course, it really should be quite good, given it's price. Can't wait to get my hands on the 35-100.

I haven't used this Oly m.40-150, the one I used is Oly 4/3 40-150 mkII wich is not bad one, but doesn't compare with the bigger brother (4/3) 50-200 mkI.

I was wondering how would be the m.40-150 compared with 4/3 40-150 mkII, regarding to IQ.

Anyone out there have them both and can show a side by side pics taken with them? m4/3 vs 4/3.

Thanks.

I'm wondering the same, I've had 2 4/3 40-150 Mk2 in my 4/3 days and to be honest I wasn't that impressed with them.

Agreed. I've been pleasantly surprised by some of the shots from it. See my recent post on Scenic, North Berwick.
