Does anyone want more telephoto lenses for M43? I know the 35-100 is coming and the 75 is out, but I'd love to see Olympus release their 50-200 2.8-3.5 converted to M43 or maybe an updated 100-300, made to X lens specs with fixed barrel length, digital zoom and optimized long end sharpness (100-275?).
So any other telephoto junkies wanting some more long lenses?
already planning on picking up the 35-100mm. I actually use the 100-300mm quite often so an updated one like Jonathan mentioned would be great. But since I use the 100-300mm at 300 most of the time, a 300mm f4 or 400mm f5.6 prime would be awesome (although itll probably never happen).
I'd like a long telephoto prime. Even a zoom that is optimized for the long end like you are saying. One of the rumors this morning was saying Panasonic might be releasing a new telephoto lens. Something beyond 200mm with a relatively fast aperture would be great.
Got to tell you Jonathan, using my Minolta 100 2.5 or 135 2.8 with the 2x extender isn't nearly as good as the 100-300. Without the 2x converter they are pretty decent lenses.
God, yes. All of our telephotos suck. A 50-200 2.8-3.5 would be miraculous. Hell, the next lenses out of Olympus should be m4/3 recreations of the 12-60 and 50-200. That'd put any talk of NEX killing m4/3 to sleep in no time.
Primes! 150mm 2.0 and/or 200mm 2.8 and native 1.4x and 2x converters.
Fast enough primes like that with convertors would be excellent. I don't mind using a prime telephoto, I just want it to be sharp. 100mm is too short in my mind for what I really want.
I wonder if you could use a teleconvertor on the 35-100mm? Still only dropping the aperture to 5.6, not too bad in a pinch.
