I was just immersed in The Land of Blogs which is a kind of alternate universe or way station, if you like, here on mu-43.com. And I have to tell you, I enjoyed my visit. Very impressed and inspired by everyone's commitment and to what I actually saw, too.
Keep it up!

Day 6... and I already feel like my photography has changed as a result of joining in the PAD quest. I've tried to use a different lens each day as some have sat gathering dust since getting a manual lens adapter.
Thanks everyone for the continued inspiration, feedback and commitment :)

Yes, I'm surprised how quickly the first week has gone... and doing this as part of a group has been critical to staying focused for me.
I think this will help me to become a better photographer - which is what it's all about!
Cheers

I agree. I'm a bit of a fair weather photographer myself, and had it not been for the sense of obligation to stick with the PAD (I'm talking like this after just day 3!!), I doubt I'd have taken any photos at all during these rainy days.

I agree, Kai. I would say I'm more of a 'fits and starts' photographer. This PaD process is creating some better habits for me. BTW, my goal is to make sure I take the needed pictures each day - I've already found that post-processing doesn't always fit in my schedule on a daily basis...so it may still appear to be fits and starts!
Anyone have any thoughts on how to handle the urge to 're-do' a shot? I put a re-do in as a comment, but I wonder if there's a better way to solicit feedback, compare, etc?
Thanks everyone!

I like to see the discussions sometimes sparked by the PAD, and seeing the alternative versions in the same day's comments seems good.
If I have other shots from the same day, I'm likely to either just upload for sharing in my Galleries, or post them in the forum.
I hope we'll see more people join our adventure - it would be great to see this snowball!
Cheers

I think a "re-do" is an great idea. The goal here is to better yourself as a photographer. A "re-do" shows that you have learned something about your work and hopefully that will be reflected in the second attempt. I would suggest creating a new post in your blog explaining the re-do and soliciting comments.

I like the idea of posting alternative versions to show the course taken to come to the final PAD capture, or other potential options.
On a couple of days I've found it hard to choose between shots and other days have had to get creative at home to get anything at all. I've created another gallery for these, not just for alternatives of the PAD shot but for the ones that didn't make it :)
http://www.mu-43.com/gallery/g730-pad-alternatives.html
I've only been on the forum about 2 weeks and doing the PAD and pondering the weekly image quests has made me think more about what and when I'm shooting than ever before. Thanks mu-43.com and you all for that!

Welcome Aaron! I'm in Connecticut. I assume you mean Oregon, not Maine?
You can check out where everyone's from by clicking on their name and there is even a thread started yesterday(?) on exactly the idea of saying a bit more about ourselves, started by BBW. (Sorry don't have the link handy).
If you remain long in this thread, you'll probably be suckered into posting a picture a day in your blog - that's what happened to me...
