Bit tongue-in- cheek but whats the most ridiculous price you've lied about to your partner on your latest photographic purchase?

I said I purchased the GX! with Panasonic 25mm for £350..or how about the LVF2 Finder for £30

These lies come back to bite your widow when she tries to sell all your stuff and gives it away!!! I have seen it happen with telescopes, the lady had no idea what it was worth and one SOB was bragging about how cheap he got it.

mmmmmmmm I think mine would check eventually on the current values.

My lying completely stopped when I got divorced, so did hers incidentally too.

I've made my habit self sustaining. Gotta sell something to fund a new something (I do it with my HiFi too). A lot of the time I'm in the black and a few times I used the profit to buy my wife some cool presents. Never need to lie.

I don't tell, and my wife has never asked.
