It raises a couple of questions for me, including will Panny lenses on Oly bodies be corrected (and vice versa) and should we stay with the manufacturers RAW converter - at least until the new ACR distortion correction supports .

For me it is the other way around. Lightroom does distortion correction for Panasonic raw files which contain correction parameters for Panasonic lenses. It is the raw converter coming with the Panasonics which does not use these parameters embedded in the raw file. So I will not stick with the raw converter provided by the manufacturer.

this is probably a stupid question:

A 14mm lens Panasonic lens is listed as having an angle of view of 75 degrees diagonal, is it 75 degrees before the distortion correction or after the distortion correction?
