I did a clean install last night. The difference in performance makes it totally worth it. My lightroom much more snappier and chrome is blazing fast. Also replaced itunes with enqueue and finally a memory hog is gone.

What is enqueue and can it play itunes protected music content?

I am using Google Chrome, Lightroom 4, Photoshop CS6, Photomatix Pro 4.2 as well as the Nik Silver Efex Pro and HDR Efex Pro 2 plugins under Mountain Lion and everything is working perfectly for me. And yes, the machine does seem a little faster under Mountain Lion than under Lion.

Itunes is supposed to be DRM free by now. If you have something protected by DRM there are tools to remove the protection using free tools: Three Ways to Remove DRM Protection from iTunes

Having said that I don't use DRM protected songs and neither do I know if enqueue supports it. Enqueue is really the best player I have seen to date for mac and I've been looking for a itunes replacement for quite some time

I have found one bug that is happening to lots of people after upgrading to ML. After your machine wakes from sleep, Mission Control and multi-finger gestures no longer work. There is a workaround to get it to come back without rebooting, but still I hope Apple fixes this one soon.
