Rules
If your post does not follow these rules, it will be deleted without explanation.
The Buy, Sell, and Trade board has grown very active. The moderators are volunteers and do not have the time to private message members about every issue in the marketplace. Please take care to follow all of the rules below so that we can continue to offer this service.
1) Choose a correct thread prefix.
Options:
- [FS] - For Sale
- [WTB] - Want to Buy
- [FT] - For Trade
- [FS/FT] - For Sale or For Trade
- [Ebay] - Listed on Ebay
Also, be aware that thread titles cannot be changed after 3 days (72 hours). Please do not PM a moderator to change your thread title after this. You may instead
close the thread and start another one if you like.
2) "For Sale" listings must include an asking price.
Giving an astronomical price and adding "or best offer" does not satisfy this requirement. Any FS or FS/FT listings without an asking price will be deleted without comment.
3) No auctions may be carried out within our marketplace.
4) Don't add a "me too" listing in someone else's thread.
In other words, don't reply to threads with "I'm selling the same camera..." or "I'm looking for the same lens..." Start a separate thread for your own listing.
5) Photography-related transactions only.
6) No commercial vendor sales in this forum.

7) No "price policing".
If you want to tell someone that their asking price is too high, send them a polite PM. Don't put it in the thread.
This includes any kind of comment about the item being available somewhere else for a better price or otherwise implying that the asking price is too high. Price discussions belong in PM and/or email, not within our Buy and Sell forum threads.
8) You can only start a new topic/thread every 8 hours.
You may sell more than one item by combining them on your listing.
9) Don't leave feedback unless you have had a transaction.
We have a
feedback system so you can leave feedback
after a transaction. Leaving feedback before a transaction (eg, negative feedback because the price is too high or the seller won't ship to your location) is not allowed.
10) Stay on topic.
Do not comment in marketplace threads unless you are interested in making a transaction with the OP. The one exception to this is that if you think a listing looks suspicious, you may post a comment suggesting that fellow members take caution or asking the thread starter for images and/or references. General discussion does not belong in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum.
11) You can edit your title and body of your ad for 72 hours. After that it is permanent.
Please do
not ask moderators to edit your posts or thread (we do not have the time). Instead, add a post to your original thread indicating the update. Optionally, you may mark your thread as "Completed" and start a new one.
