In stock but more expensive than the manufacture (Panasonic) sells it for. Am I wrong when I say this? Is there a way to get it for a better price? Everyone seems to be out of stock.

Apparently, after speaking with them, that's the "MSRP". When all the while, Panasonic has it for $599. But it's limited stock almost everywhere like you said, which I guess is the reason for the price increase. I'd just order it from UniquePhoto. $529. Cheapest I've seen so far without being enrolled in any programs. Not in stock of course, but will be in the beginning of July I've heard.

It is being sold at a premium compared to other places. Like you said, others seem are out of stock, so for those who want the lens, it's a question of paying the premium or waiting for stock elsewhere.
