Looks stunning, hope you're enjoying it. Was trying out canon 60D and Pentax K5 today, really liked the Pentax. Am waiting to hold a OMD though before I decide on dual system. I want a rugged cam with sealed lenses and a compact cam for general use. Being able to share lenses between two would be a great advantage. As long as IQ equal or greater than GX1 than happy, mostly down to ergonomics now and Pentax feels good in hand.
Thanked by RussellOlaguer.

Russ -

Just got my E-M5 - great cam!

Couple of questions:

1. Did you have any trouble getting the APC cover off? I've used both thumb nails and it won't budge!
2. It seems like the 'blackout' in the EVF is longer than for my E-P3 (which seemed almost instant. Now the blackout is a 1/4 to 1/3 sec as it writes to disk. I have Review set to Off. What's your experience?

Sorry for late reply.
I'm stuck at work.

1) You need to pry the left side portion first before taking the whole thing off.2) Im sorry I dont have an E-P3 to compare. But the blackout doesnt bother me. Seems instant to me.

I believe the left arrow will bring up the focus pt matrix. You can also reach it from the Super Control Panel (SCP), which is activated in Menu.

I have the PL25, and I DO have the rattlesnake. I have heard it before I got the EM-5, occasionally on my GF3, but it is much more frequent on the E-M5.

I don't really mind it though, to be honest. It's such a nice lens and camera combo I can forgive it!

Has anyone tried using the Nissin Di466 with it? Heard mixed results when trying to use bounce? But most people seem to think it just needs to be forced into the hotshoe?

This thread is so helpful.
my OMD followedme home a month ago. I like it, but I admit I'm on a steep learning curve...(darn autocorrect on the ipad!)

I find the signature lists helpful. I'm confused with the number of lenses offered. I'm sitting on the fence, considering whether to buy additional lenses. The kit lens covers basic needs well for me. Future needs? Birds in flight...occasional wildlife photos. (Though seldom needed, and since I've already spent my allowance on the M5, and blown the budget on the grip...?) I invested too heavily with my Sony NEX system, which I no longer have. That cost too much! And I still have my d300s system, with these needs covered with my lens choice.
