We had some rides through the countryside and I thought how wonderful it would be to try and catch some timeless shots of the buses with no easily dateable features and do some B&W conversions.

Not so fast! I decided to see if I could salvage such a shot. In this shot I had generally poor focus due to my assumption that the camera was AF mode. A conversion to B&W and some contrast tweaks created a surreal look that complemented the subject matter.

How about sharing some of your mistakes that turned out to be interesting photos?

Here are a few shots taken with my OMD and 35-100mm hand held. Great combo and some definitely came out better than expected.

James Hillier gets the lightweight going. He went on to win and broke the track record twice despite slowing to come into the pits.



This is the first Chinese made bike to enter the TT.

John McGuinness launches into the senior TT. He won the race and equaled Joey Dunlop's twenty win record.



Guy Martin enters the fray.



My favourite shot. The first Norton to enter the TT for some time. Both bikes finished so hopefully we will see more of them.

I guess it's for protection, but it was just too funny looking over that plot and seeing dozens upon dozens of those huge red, white, and black cups. Someone was either really thirsty or employed a lot of family and friends to help empty those :)
