Day 12

So we drove the 90 miles so Tanya could get the herbs that she wanted. When we finally parked, after 30 minutes looking for a space I felt relieved.

I put the finder on Walker and the 17mm. I held the camera up high and AF to the ground. That gives me just about the right distance for f8 Hyper Focal Distance.

With auto ISO, the camera set to lens rest no, and power management set to off, I knew It was as good as it gets.

So we started walking around....

Day 11

Posted March 19th, 2010 at 04:17 PM by Streetshooter (Photo a Day Project)

I had just got home, parked the van in the driveway, was very careful not to let Tanya see my cigars hidden in my jacket pocket.

I saw her using the hand saw. This may be a problem. We got hit with heavy winds and some branches needed to be cut, ok justified cutting procedures.

I told her, mistake, that she was holding the saw wrong......mistake, mistake.

She told me to go smoke a cigar and leave the cutting to her...
looks like a good start to...

Day 10

Posted March 18th, 2010 at 03:18 PM by Streetshooter (Photo a Day Project)

I have not forgotten you I said, as I entered the room. How sad and lonely this room must feel as I stood in it's presence. I could feel the energy that has been stored, unused for many years.

Odd, I thought, as my eyes wandered to all the unfamiliar familiar places. I have worked for hours on end in the dark in this room, knowing exactly where every nook and cranny is.

I could find anything...

Day 9

Posted March 17th, 2010 at 03:40 PM by Streetshooter (Photo a Day Project)

One day I came home around 7:00pm from a day on the street. That was around April 1975. I had been out with the M4 and 35 Cron and the weather was just beautiful. I will never forget that day. Oh, not because it was a good weather day or even a good shoot day....no, it was a bigger day than that. My wife met me at the door with a grin on her face. I looked and immediately knew she was pregnant...
Those things happen when ya do...anyway...

My son Paul was born Jan 9, 1976, 20...

Today it hit 62f here in Philly. Of course that means come home from work and work in the garden. I don't mind cause Tanya forgets I'm there in about 3 minutes. Actually she won't let me do anything except throw stuff away, or as she says, "Put in Garbage".

The game we play is hide and go seek photography. This is a very intellectual challenge. I dare not make an Image Quest out of this for fear of the outcome.

Tanya goes about her business and I get to...

Day 7

I don't feel like writing ok? Sometimes one just is not in the mood to say or type words. This is one of those times. Why don't I feel like writing? Well I'm tired and just not in the mood. I won't fall to pressure because I just don't like being pressured to do do anything. So by not writing on today's PAD, I am eliminating pressure. You wouldn't put pressure on anyone to do something they don't feel like doing right? So why should I put undue pressure on myself to write something when I don't...

another day Day 6 or so

I haven't posted for a spell. No excuses other than I'm busy with another board. I left there to come here but sometimes, the ties that bind...still bind. Anyway, it's still raining...I saw BB's image and wanted to follow suite in a way....

I encourage all here doing this PAD to continue with out skipping a day. I made the mistake of not doing it for maybe 10 or so days. What a mistake.....posting on the PAD is like taking a moment for yourself to just breathe and do something for...

Day 5

Posted February 28th, 2010 at 04:08 PM by Streetshooter (Photo a Day Project)

What the hell is that noise in the kitchen?
Whatever, it's starting to actually have a smell to go along with it.

It's Sunday, time to relax whatever that means. I kinda lost the definition for that many moons ago.
All I know is, some wings, a cold beer the Pen with the 17 nearby, reading the forum...maybe this is what relaxing means.

Who cares anyway, it's all in a dream.
Anyway...I've got to put the formula together for the Image Quest so that...

Day 4

Updated February 27th, 2010 at 07:00 PM by Streetshooter

Do we really live in bubbles? Are these bubbles really that protective? I was riding around in my 4 wheel bubble today and I saw a woman walking in the snow. For some reason I picked up the Pen and focused on the water drops on the window. I felt sooo protected from the world, from people from the elements. I then realized that this woman was like all humanity, not protected from the elements, the world, the elements. She probably thought that I was riding around thinking I was safe from everything...

Day 3

Posted February 26th, 2010 at 05:58 PM by Streetshooter (Photo a Day Project)
Updated February 26th, 2010 at 07:43 PM by Streetshooter

It was 22*f as I left the house this morning. The snow was about 4" covering the street. The sunlight was just peeking through, enough to give you hope but not enough to warm the soul.

After a few calls to check on the troops, I headed to St. Anne's Church. We were the first to arrive. We set the flag line so that it was visible to all passerby's. It was now 24*f and about 40 MPH winds. Then people started to show up entering the church. Many police arrived and thanked us for standing...
