The Third Intention

My photographs are often the result of a blend of what I envision and what the world is prepared to offer. The photographs I enjoy usually capture what I want, but they often have something more, perhaps by happy accident, perhaps by subconscious action. The result is like a third intention.

For me this blog offers a stimulus, a discipline to explore a little more each day. It may well be rarely viewed by others, but it's very existence will, I hope, provide energy and companionship to my photography.

I hope to explore themes and ideas, as well as what the world throws at me. As always, I will be inspired by the wonderful photography of my mu-43 friends.

Stuff left in parks

I had previously posted these ones to the 20mm lens thread. It amazes me how much clothing and sports gear is abandoned in parks.

A local soldier

A few years ago a family just one street away lost their son in Afghanistan.

About 10 years prior to that their home had been lost in a fire, and the land, about 500m from their new home, remained vacant.
