Those Europeans! Just look what you see from your hotel window!

and

I am sure you can make something of the male statue being displayed against hard concrete and the female one against verdant ivy. However, I liked the light and shadows.

GF1 and 45-200.

A little run down after 5,000 years in the cork forests of Catalonia:

And in B&W:

I am not quite sure why Mum has felt the need commemorate herself.

HDR in breezy conditions with the GF1 - much easier than with Oly DSLRs.

The Occasional (Part 50) - Catch of the Day

Posted August 27th, 2010 at 05:34 PM by Maczero

Fresh grilled sardines with olive oil and garlic - delicious!

Hand held (hence the aperture) and manually focussed with the GF1/20.

They tasted great.

Taking a Pause

Posted August 23rd, 2010 at 04:15 PM by Maczero

The Occasional (Part 48) - Victorian Pharmacy

Posted August 21st, 2010 at 01:14 PM by Maczero

My wife went down to the quilting show in the NEC; so, I took the opportunity to visit Blists Hill Victorian Town, the site of the BBC's 'Victorian Pharmacy'. Fascinating, and the pharmacy looked just as it did on the television.

A period look:

And what it really looks like:

Taken with GF1/14-45 and processed in RPP and Aperture 3. The back and white version is an experiment with split toning (sepia/blue) in Aperture...

GF1 and 45-200.

C&C welcome.
