Picture-A-Day: Intermission

Posted March 15th, 2010 at 04:51 AM by kai.e.g.

Have taken a break from the PAD for a bit; it just wasn't working out for me time-wise, and I really hate just snapping at any random thing a few minutes before midnight without thought (though I have to admit that the couple of times I've done that recently for the PAD, the shots have turned out OK).

Anyway, I shall be back shortly with a couple of shots I did take during the past week, and resume with my PAD - which in my case stands for "Picture Almost Daily".

Taking refuge in the warm & cozy eatery in the snow! GRD-2 again. I'll will be back to the E-P1 after this, as I'm down below the clouds again now!

I've been skiing, so no time on the computer... and I'm back on the GRD-2 for this shot.

Picture-A-Day: Day 012

I might have skipped a day. Oh, well. These are old abandoned brick kilns on our road. They're called fornaci in Italian, and this is also the name of our frazione (rougly equivalent to a hamlet or ward).

Another last minute photo for Day 11; when in doubt, photograph your cameras! I use all this stuff; I don't "collect" cameras... though on the other hand, I obviously do by default! Any political junkies from the USA may recognise some old campaign pins from the past if you look closely.

A close call; Canada scored the winning goal in the hockey match just a few minutes before midnight local time, giving me enough time to grab the camera and some random object from my living room to photograph. This is a polished & carved coconut shell, from Bali...
