The Occasional (Part 50) - Catch of the Day

Posted August 27th, 2010 at 05:34 PM by Maczero

Fresh grilled sardines with olive oil and garlic - delicious!

Hand held (hence the aperture) and manually focussed with the GF1/20.

They tasted great.

27th August 2010 n=36

Got home as it was darkening ... outside the NAFAS ladies were having a bit of do ... I waited but the lady with the magenta serape didn't come back into the light ... handheld through a window ... oh thank heavens for a reasonably fast lens!

Day 52 - Forth Bug

Posted August 27th, 2010 at 05:28 PM by Briar

Went to South Queensferry today to catch a few photographs before doing my evening shop ... desperate not to show another picture of the Forth bridges, I photographed the bugs n the bushes at the side of the river with the my 9-18mm Oly lens. Caught this one and was pleasantly surprised ... now wanting to add a macro lens to my e-pl1 kit!

Picture was cropped pp, but you knew that already!...

(Taken with Cosmicar/Pentax 25mm f/1.4. Default LR conversion)

The photo is probably a bit too tight for my liking.

Here's another one:

The lens is turning into my favourite lens because it is small and produces nice colours, just a joy to shoot with. Now if only it doesn't vignet (only covers 16:9 fully), and I am still waiting for my VF-2 to arrive.
